A gorgeous Victorian sterling silver buckle, beautifully detailed. The buckle is a rectangular frame of silver in a scrolling openwork pattern of delicately hand engraved acanthus leaves. The buckle is subtly curved to sit comfortably at the waist. The teeth of the buckle swivel easily and are in good working condition. The back is marked "Sterling" and "209". It's a romantic piece that will look wonderful worn on a belt, sash, or scarf. Circa 1880.

Details.....The buckle measures 2.24" by 1.77". In Very Good Antique Condition. You should always expect some wear on vintage and antique jewels; we consider it part of the charm.
